Registration Information
All players wishing to play for KJFC, whether you are a current player, joining the football club for the first time or transferring from another club, are required to purchase a KJFC Membership as part of the registration process.
Should your email address have changed in the past 12 months, please contact the YJFL at admin@yarrajfl.org.au or PH: (03) 9850 6615 to request your email address be updated on the PlayHQ database. If you are unable to recall the email address you used in the previous season please contact the Comets Registrar at registrations@kewcomets.com.au to provide you with the email address.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you have your Working With Children’s Check number on hand as it will be required in order to complete the registration process for your child/ren. The check is required as part of our Child Safety Policy and underlines our commitment to safeguarding our players.
You can get a WWCC quickly and easily online. If you don't already have one (or aren't sure if the one you have is still valid) use this link to find out more and apply for yours now. Volunteer checks are FREE and once yours is complete, you can register your child for the 2025 Season!

Notes:
- The KJFC base fee is $227.00 per player. An earlybird discount of $40 per player is available to all players registered by close of business on 15 January 2026. There is no earlybird discount on YJFL fees.
- Our Comets Family Discount offers 25% off the second player's KJFC fees and no KJFC fees for third player or more in the same family. There is no discount on YJFL fees. The Comets Family Discount can only be applied when two or more children are registered in one transaction. Please note that PlayHQ will charge the full fee for each player during registration; however, KJFC will reimburse you the family discount.
- A Trainer fee of $35 is included in the YJFL fee. All players are charged this levy to ensure that a qualified medic is at every YJFL game.
- No cash payments for online registrations; credit card payments only.
Please be aware that requests for Registration Refunds will incur a $20 administration fee. Please forward your Registration Refund request to the Registrar via email: registrations@kewcomets.com.au

Registration for both new and existing players is conditional upon receipt of payment, proof of age, YJFL acceptance and availability of places.

New Players
You are required to provide proof of age in the form of a birth certificate or passport. Proof of age will need to be emailed to the Registrar at registrations@kewcomets.com.au. Once checked, the documentation will be deleted.
Transferring Players
A transfer request is a request for a player to register with a new club. Transfers can be initiated by:
- A player, during registration for their intended new club or
- The Comets Registrar. Please email registrations@kewcomets.com.au the player’s full name, date of birth and name of the club the player is transferring out of.
Transfers require the approval of the player’s current and new club, as well as the YJFL, before the player can complete their registration with their new club. The YJFL has instituted strict new terms on player transfers commencing in the 2026 season. Please ensure you have all required approvals BEFORE registering your transferring player.
