Volunteering
All committee members, coaches, team managers and helpers are volunteers. They juggle family, work and other commitments to ensure our children are involved in a nurturing and strong community-focussed football club. Your help is needed to continue to provide this amazing experience to your child.
We are always seeking volunteers and ask that you please consider joining the many wonderful parents that get involved. The variety of roles we have means you can commit as much time as you are able - whether that's helping out with a team, at game, at a social event or helping to run the club!
All our volunteers will require a valid volunteers Working with Children Check which is super-easy to get and also free.
Committee members
We have a number of committee members who are now ready to hand over their roles after having given selflessly of their time over a number of years. They have been critical to developing seamless processes that will mean an easy transition (and a lot less work!) for incoming members. We urgently need to fill these roles, so if you love football, our community and our club, please consider volunteering. The Committee meets once a month and members are available to each other informally as needed.
Sponsorship
All you need is a friendly disposition and a willingness to liaise with local community businesses about all the great benefits that come with being a Kew Comets partner.
Club Secretary
A critical role for the club and perfect for anyone who loves community football. Not only will you provide key support to the President and club committee, you'll also be the primary contact for the YJFL, and will lead coordination of all club planning.
We also welcome additional committee members and encourage you to have a chat with any one of the current group about joining our friendly team.
